Bowling Green is the county seat of Wood CountyGR6, Ohio. At the time of the United States Census, 2000, the population of Bowling Green was 29,636. Bowling Green is the home of the Black Swamp Arts Festival.

Bowling Green was first settled in 1832, was incorporated as a town in 1855, and became a city in 1904.
